OUR MISSION
Conservation and public awareness as it relates to honeybees are our priorities here at Uniquely Bee. We have launched a tri-factor save the bees campaign aimed at promoting the importance of honeybees via three approaches, namely: public awareness, active conservation, and reducing carbon footprints.
This campaign is targeted at the general public, NOT beekeepers, to make you aware of the difference you personally can make to the honeybee populations!
You can read more about this campaign and what you personally can do to save the bees on our facebook page here: https://m.facebook.com/uniquelybeeapiaries/
and our blog (coming soon) will provide detailed, scientifically-referenced information on conservation, pesticides, and everything else you need to know about the status of honeybees in the world today.
SHOP & PRODUCTS
Quality. Affordability. Transparency.
These are the three ideals that guide the choice of products available from our store.
We do not compromise on quality - our customers deserve the highest quality we can provide while still being affordable. Natural materials such as cotton, pure beeswax and unadulterated honey are used - we will always strive to give you the very best! Our materials are all sourced locally as we believe in supporting small businesses and reducing our carbon footprint as much as possible. We will not use any ingredient/material without stating it's use - you as our customer deserve 100% product transparency!
By choosing to support Uniquely Bee, you will be contributing towards conservation efforts and ethical beekeeping.
Sarah
Founder of Uniquely Bee
Uniquely Bee was started by a young South African with a passion for conservation and a degree in Biological Science. Coming from a family of hobbiest beekeepers, Sarah naturally picked up the beekeeping mantle and made it unique by merging a scientific approach with the ethical beekeeping practices of the hobbiest. She was first introduced into queen rearing in 2019, and subsequently managed a queen rearing project for Garden Route Honey Producers, a South African beekeeping company.
Sarah's vision for Uniquely Bee is a company that supports and collaborates with local businesses to provide products as natural and environmentally friendly as possible, while maintaining high quality and an affordable price. Nothing is added into our honey or honey products unless specifically stated (such as essential oils in our beeswax candles), and ethical practices are employed when working with bees. We hope to inspire others to shop local and go natural.
Thank you for choosing Uniquely Bee, and always remember to Bee Safe!
